One Friday in April
by Donald Antrim

Donald Antrim pours his heart out in One Friday in April, his memoir of struggling with suicide and how he survived.

This is a quick and impactful read. Having personally been close with many people in my life who struggle with suicide, Antrim’s memoir helped me understand the true, devastating process going on in their heads. Antrim strives to categorize suicide as its own illness as opposed to an active choice. He wants us to destigmatize suicide in order to truly understand it and help those who suffer from it.

If you struggle with this illness yourself or have people in your life who suffer from it and want desperately to understand them more and do your best to be there for them, this is the book to read. There are countless eye-opening gems in this book. I really appreciate Donald Antrim for sharing this vulnerable side of himself in order to help others who feel the same.
