October Moon by
Michael Scott

Rachel Stone’s wealthy father bought his dream horse breeding farm in Ireland. They leave their home in California for a trip to view their new property, but their vacation quickly turns into a nightmare as multiple dangerous vandalisms occur once they arrive. The local police aren’t much help, as they believe it is either local boys playing pranks or Rachel herself, acting out for her father’s attention. But Rachel has suspicions of her own about a girl who works in the stables and her odd brother. When she confronts the brother, she can hardly believe the warning he gives her about an ancient curse his clan is looking to transfer to Rachel’s family on Halloween, the night of the October moon. Rachel must decide what she believes and who to trust as the night rapidly approaches if she wants to save her family.

Published in the 90’s, this book has heavy Goosebump vibes. A classic story of ancient curses and skeptical victims forced to reconfigure their views on reality if they wish to survive. A perfect read for Halloween!
