A Note on Negativity

How lonely it is to be a person with a constant itch to readjust beneath your skin in a world of people emboldened by occupying the most space, comfortable in their anger because volume brings attention which equals security. Too much focus on standing apart has led us to forget humanity is an ecosystem that needs balancing. Excessive hardness inevitably cracks, as being too soft can cause sinkage.

The seemingly natural adoption of hate speech by so many people is disheartening and sickening. The trampling and clambering over others to get to the top faster, speaking ill and spreading lies of people you know nothing about simply in the hopes they get knocked down a peg. Where has all this animosity bubbled up from and why would anyone believe it could lead to a happy life?

You cannot achieve true fulfillment without understanding and giving in to the interwoven nature of humanity. Yes, we are individuals but we are EQUAL parts of a whole tapestry. If you only focus on your patch, you lose the whole picture. Your singular story will never be deep enough to satisfy your soul’s appetite. Your singular success will feel hollow if it serves no one but you. There is a balance that must be struck. We should not take more than we give or give more than we take. Both extremes lead to suffocation and lonely ends.
